Classic Concentration Description
Two computer versions of Classic Concentration were released by Softie for MS-DOS systems, as well as the Apple II and Commodore 64. A Nintendo Entertainment System version was also released by GameTek. Tiger Electronics also marketed a hand-held version of the game in 1999 using the Narz-era theme and the 1960s–1978 logo.
In 1985, Mark Goodson Productions was set to launch an hour-long game show block with a new syndicated version of The Price Is Right and a revived Match Game. However, after Match Game host Gene Rayburn took a job hosting Break the Bank, the Match Game revival was scuttled and Goodson sought permission from NBC to try Concentration again. A pilot was shot in 1985 with Orson Bean hosting but failed to sell. Although Goodson went forward with his plans to launch The Nighttime Price Is Right without a companion program, both he and NBC did not give up on Concentration (or Match Game, but plans for that series were abandoned prior to the 1987 season) and a new series was developed.
