SkiFree Description

SkiFree is a computer game by created by Chris Pirih, who was working as a programmer at Microsoft. The object of the game is simple - ski down a seemingly endless slope and avoiding the obstacles.

Chris had created SkiFree in C on his home computer for his own education and entertainment, then one day he was playing it at work when a program manager for Windows Entertainment Pack passed by and notice it. He decided that it should be in the next Entertainment Pack release and Microsoft licensed it from Chris for inclusion.

The game was featured in the Best of Windows Entertainment Pack and there is also a ported version for the original Macintosh.

In 1993 Chris started work on a second version to game, but it was abandoned for other projects when the original source code was lost.
