Astérix and the Great Rescue Description
Asterix and the Great Rescue was released for Master System, Game Gear and Mega Drive/Genesis in 1995, by Sega.
This game is based on the popular, and long-running, French comic book series Asterix the Gaul. In it you play Asterix and Obelix who must rescue Dogmatix from the Romans, who are in the process of taking over Gaul.
It is a side-scrolling platform game, with various levels typical of the genre, including underwater. The startup screen offers a choice of difficulty level, as well as the ability to turn off the music and/or sound effects.
