Starflight 2: Trade Routes of the Cloud Nebula Description

Starflight 2: Trade Routes of the Cloud Nebula is the sequel to the successful Starflight science fiction computer game. It was developed by Binary Systems and published by Electronic Arts for DOS in 1989.

Binary Systems intended Starflight 2 as more of a follow-up to its widely popular Starflight than a true sequel. Starflight 2 introduced many new features including an intergalactic trade based game economy, a new combat model, and dozens of alien species scattered across an even larger game map. An epic storyline, time travel, and a race of aliens that resembled Midwest farmers called "The Nelsons" made Starflight 2 one of the most memorable games of the 1980s.

Starflight 2 was ported to the Amiga by MicroMagic, Inc. in 1991.

Besides an unofficial sequel in the form of Protostar, an official canon fan-created sequel project called Starflight III Project is currently in production.
